CMC/DHK employees’ journey to the Clarence DeMar Marathon

“As I look back over the last months and reflect on the time and dedication that we all put forth to achieve our individual goals, is quite impressive.  From the real early morning runs to the late after work runs.  Each and every one of us should be proud of our accomplishments.  Throughout our training, I found that people were so supportive.  We would check in with one another to see how training was going and ask advice of others that may have run the distances before.  When it came to race day, there were nerves and excitement for the many miles that were to come.  We had done the training and now it was time to put that into motion.  The miles went by as the temperature rose.  Was that dreaded wall to come?  For me luckily I never felt that wall.  The race came to an end and the lifelong goal was accomplished as I crossed the finish line.  It was an incredible feeling.  My achievement of this goal would not have been possible without all the support of my family, good friends and coworkers.  We are ALL true champions.”
