Our Mission: Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders
“By learning how to align practice with theory, we can empower individuals who know that one person can make a difference. We believe doing well and doing good are inseparable goals. Through progressive education, we’re helping to nurture the next generation of innovative, creative, and insightful leaders.”
Antioch University New England (AUNE) joined the Healthy Monadnock Organizational Champions Program in 2013. They support their employees’ health and wellbeing in a variety of ways. Staff benefit from leadership who make decisions on worksite wellness based on results from employee surveys. Employees have access to mindfulness meditation, fitness classes, paid maternity leave and recently new hot and cold healthy vending options. In addition, AUNE applied for a mini-grant to support the installation of a public bicycle maintenance station at the AUNE bike shelter, adjacent to the Rails-to-Trails path.
