Week Eight: August 25th – Enjoy the water before fall sets in!
Our final week for the Summer Family Challenge is here! Summer is winding down, kids are going back to school, and the nights are getting cooler – but there is still time to enjoy our most precious natural resource – water. Daytime still brings high temperatures and our local swimming holes are the perfect antidote. With so many lakes and ponds in the Monadnock Region, it is easy to find a nearby favorite or to venture out in search of a remote treasure. Check out a list of lakes, ponds and beaches in the Monadnock Region.
Pack up some fun like snorkels and masks, shovels and pails, or boogie boards and flippers. Don’t forget the sunscreen, towels and flotation devices if needed for your little ones. Savor these last few weeks of New England summer weather, stay safe, and enjoy the beautiful place we are lucky to call home.
Thank you for joining us weekly this summer! Don’t forget to tag us with #HMSummer so we can see what fun things your family is up to! And sign up to join Healthy Monadnock’s Family Champions to get more family friendly tips!
