Summer Challenge Week Four

Categories: Community Engagement

Week Four: July 28th – Pick wild blueberries at Gap Mountain, Monadnock Berries, or at your very own secret spot!

Spend the day outside and pick wild berries at Monadnock Berries, or take a hike up one our region’s most treasured berry picking meccas, Gap Mountain.  Picking wild berries is a fun way to enjoy nature and talk with your kids about the natural growing season for different foods in our region.

Bring along some water and sunscreen because you never know where your adventure will take you. Once you’ve had your fill, head home and use your picked berries to make a not-so-healthy-but-totally-worth-it berry pie! Use an old family recipe or try out a new one, like this one.  Enjoy a delicious dessert that the family helped make!
